Where to find the model number
The model number tells the technician exactly which parts your appliance uses. It’s printed on a label or plate, usually in one of these places:

| Washer, front-load | Inside the door rim, or on the back panel |
| Washer, top-load | Under the lid, or on the back of the control panel |
| Dryer | Inside the door opening, or on the back panel |
| Refrigerator | Inside the fresh-food compartment, on a side wall or the ceiling |
| Range or oven | On the frame behind the storage drawer or the oven door |
| Dishwasher | On the edge of the door or the side of the tub |
